The CIDEF is located in the heart of the city of Angers, so it is very easy to access interesting places and monuments, such as the castle or the cathedral, to stroll in an attractive setting and to enjoy the cultural life offered by the city. Our center is attached to the Catholic University of the West, where you can meet and exchange with French students, as well as participate in campus life.
At CIDEF, you can also participate in activities to discover French culture and the specificities of our region. For example, you can visit a chocolate factory, discover the secrets of making Cointreau liqueur, sail by boat on the Maine or even eat in a troglodyte restaurant. We also offer excursions to visit the Châteaux de la Loire, the Machines de l’île in Nantes, Mont St Michel, or even the D-Day beaches in Normandy.
